In a shocking incident, popular Telugu actress Shalu Chourasiya was attacked and robbed by an unidentified individual in Hyderabad. The police has issued a statement that the Tollywood star was taking a stroll at the KBR Park in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, around 8.30 p.m. when the suspect, who is said to be in the 20-25 age group, robbed her after attacking her. Shalu, who sustained minor injuries from the incident that came to light on Monday morning, is currently being treated at a private hospital in the city, with the police launching a probe. As of now, details on Shalu's health condition and further details are being awaited. 

According to reports, the attacker had threatened her and stole her mobile phone, money and other personal belongings. An FIR has been filed by the Banjara Hills, with officials also looking at the CCTV footage to identify the unknown man. The police have launched an investigation to track the suspect through the phone’s IMEI or the tower location. Speaking to Hyderabad Times, Banjara Hills SI P Shiva Chandra said, "The actress said that she was attacked at around 11 PM on Sunday night by an unidentified person. The suspect threatened her to give him money and her personal belongings. When she refused, he snatched her mobile and other belongings by force. A case has been filed under IPC 392 for committing robbery and we are investigating. The accused is yet to be identified and arrested." Shalu Chourasiya is best known for starring in popular Telugu films like O Pilla Nee Valla (2017) alongside Krishna Chaitanya, Rajesh Rathod, Monika Singh and Bhagya Nagara Veedhullo Gammathu (2019), which had with Srinivasa Reddy, Satya, Shakalaka Shankar, Vennela Kishore and Dolly Shah in starring roles.
