'Superstar' Rajinikanth’s magnum opus 2.0 has undergone several release date changes so far. The film being directed by Shankar under the Lyca Productions banner with music by A. R. Rahman was announced a while back for an April release.
That said, the fate of this Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson action sci-fi flick coming out this summer is up for debate once again.
According to reports, 2.0 has quite a lot of VFX and Computer Graphics work that needs to be properly completed and that the makers are now reportedly eyeing a release as far off as in August.
In the meantime, Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2, which was initially announced for a release last year could likely hit screens on April 27 since 2.0 has now reportedly backed out.
It must also be noted the Karthik and Gautham Karthik starrer Mr. Chandramouli has now announced to come on the said date.
We will now have to wait for an official statement from the 'Ulaganayagan' on the release plans he has for his Vishwaroopam 2.
