Koozhangal (Pebbles) is said to be an interesting Tamil film with a realistic making. The film is expected to leave a solid impact among the viewers and it is touted to be a visual treat for film lovers. Koozhangal is directed by debutant PS Vinoth Raj and has music scored by ace composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. The cinematography is handled by Vignesh Kumulai and Parthib, while the editing and art direction departments are headed by Ganesh Siva and Njan Ood and Sinju respectively.

Mahfoud Mokaddem, popular actor, filmmaker and IFFR's (International Film Festival of Rotterdam) Cultural Coach, is all praise for Koozhangal. Talking about it, Mahfoud said, "A poverty-stricken father and son wander a southern Indian landscape where anger and frustration burn hotter than the sun. If you were to ask me which countries I would have preferred to be an actor in, I would say France or India. In recent years, Bollywood has been much more than Bollywood musical films. Indian cinema increasingly shows the raw side of the country such as the caste system, poverty, corruption, and misogyny. Pebbles is also an example of this".
