Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu completed 25 days in its theatrical run and has been officially declared to be a blockbuster. The gangster film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and featuring music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman is yet another feather in the cap for the trio after their 2010 blockbuster Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada in 2016. Still going strong in theatres, the makers on Tuesday, October 11, released the first Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu deleted scene, which gives a glimpse into the action after the film's gripping interval.

The Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu deleted scene, which doesn't include any additional background music or real-time sound or noise, shows the mass moment of Simbu as Muthu when he is escorted to meet Gaarji, the kingpin of the underworld in Mumbai city. Although the context of the scene in VTK is short, this previously unreleased glimpse gives fans a look into the moments before Muthu's first meeting with Gaarji, with Silambarasan's revelation of how he got hold of a gun being quite impactful.

Produced under Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh's Vels Film International banner and released by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu ended on a cliffhanger note, with the events leading up to the sequel, which is expected to begin rolling soon. We see towards the end of the film a big encounter between Simbu and Neeraj Madhav as Sridharan coming face to face, while Jaffer Sadiq as Rawther reveals himself to be Muthu Raasa, and fans will no doubt be looking forward to all these conflicts addressed in Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu 2 next. Based on a story by acclaimed Tamil writer B. Jeyamohan, the film also saw actress Siddhi Idnani coming out with an impressive performance as the character Paavai and has since become a youth sensation among fans.
