'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer has been released in theatres worldwide and the early reactions to the film are highly positive. The mass action entertainer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner has music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander and features a huge ensemble star cast that also includes Vasanth Ravi playing Rajinikanth's son. With a lot of secrecy surrounding his role up until the full-scale promotions for Jailer began, Vasanth Ravi, who previously garnered praise for his performances in Taramani and Rocky, penned a heartfelt emotional statement on X about being a part of the film, while also extending his gratitude to Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar

Sharing a photo of himself alongside Rajinikanth, Vasanth Ravi posted, "JAILER stands as one of the most significant milestones in my acting career. This film encapsulates the sheer dedication, patience, commitment, and determination that I have cultivated over the years in the film industry. (sic)" He added, "A journey of six years, rich with experiences, has been my guide in the realm of cinema. Ever since my debut in 'Taramani' on August 11th, 2017, where Director Ram sir introduced me as Prabhunath, to this day, August 10th, 2023, stepping into the role of Arjun Muthuvel Pandian, the son of the iconic Rajinikanth sir, in #Jailer , feels like a blessed gift from the universe. (sic)"

Vasanth Ravi also shared special words for Nelson Dilipkumar for laying trust in him for casting him in Jailer, while also reminiscing the time he got to spend with Rajinikanth and also for his motivation during the shooting. He wrote, "I extend my heartfelt gratitude to @Nelsondilpkumar  sir for his unwavering trust in me and to @rajinikanth sir for his constant encouragement and support since the inception of my career. Rajni Sir, every moment spent with you on set has become an indelible memory in my life. Your teachings have enriched not only my acting skills but also my understanding of humanity and life. (sic)" 

Speaking about playing Rajinikanth's son in Jailer, Vasanth Ravi shared emotional words and said that he was his 'Rathamaarey' in both reel and real life. He said, "While I've always addressed you as 'Sir,' today I find it as a blessing to call you 'APPA' (father) Rajni pa 🤍 My Rathamaarey in Reel and Real life…. 'I Love you so much pa and you have always been an inspiration to me' (P.S: a dialogue I say to you in Jailer, but I truly mean it)"
