Superstar rajinikanth reaction to jailer background score anirudh ravichander reveals hukum song lyricist super subu - Tamil Movie Cinema News

It's Jailer fever everywhere and the wait for 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's fans around the world is all set to come to an end to witness him in action on the big screen once again after Annaatthe (2021) starting Thursday, August 10. The upcoming mass action entertainer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar under the Sun Pictures production banner features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, whose songs in the film are already trending at the top of the charts, with the wait now to listen to his thunderous background score from tomorrow. With Jailer already the talk of the town, Sun Pictures has been promoting the film extensively and has now shared a new video of Anirudh revealing his experience of working on the Rajinikanth-starrer.

In the video, we see Anirudh being asked how he would define the Jailer album, with the composer explaining, "It's a mass package, but there are emotions in it. Since it's an album for Thalaivar, be it the 'Hukum' song, the 'Alappara' theme, or the 'Drill' theme, 'Jailer' theme, they all cater to his fans. 'Kaavaalaa' is catered to kids and girls. And, 'Rathamaarey' is for the families." Revealing Rajinikanth's reaction to the background score in Jailer, the hit composer said, "He said only one thing - 'Ani, my god!'. That's the first one. I can't tell what he said after that. I'm sorry. But, I think he's very happy."

Speaking about roping in Arunraja Kamaraj to pen the lyrics for the 'Kaavaalaa' song in Jailer, Anirudh said, "What we initially thought was, we wanted to include a Telugu element for the film. So, should we try one lyricist from Tamil and one from Telugu? Or, we thought about bringing in a person who doesn't know Telugu, which became the idea. Nelson then said we can try giving Arunraja a shot. And, since he doesn't know Telugu, we decided how the song will be if he wrote it because he didn't know the language."

Likewise, explaining the decision of choosing lyricist Super Subu to write the 'Hukum' song in Jailer, Anirudh said, "He's my school senior and I knew that he's a die-hard Thalaivar fan since those days. So, I felt he would be a superb choice to write the song for Thalaivar. And, that situation came to us at the right time with the 'Hukum' song. Many people suggested his name in my studio that he'll be able to come up with something special as a fan. When I called him, he gave me the song's lyrics within two hours. The credit for the heavy hype for Jailer created by the 'Hukum' song has to go to Subu."
