The title of Thalapathy 66 was recently officially revealed to be Varisu and the first look poster had garnered wide attention on social media. Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally of Maharshi and Thozha fame and has music composed by Thaman S. The film will feature Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, while the supporting cast includes several prominent actors like Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Shaam, Srikanth, Sangitha Krish, Yogi Babu, Samyuktha, and others. The film is scheduled to hit the screens for the festive occasion of Pongal and the fans are eagerly looking forward to seeing the film.

Varisu is produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and the ace producer has multiple other projects in his pipeline. One among those happens to be Thank You which stars Naga Chaitanya in the lead role. Earlier today (June 24), the makers made a big announcement revealing that the film's release has been postponed, making the fans slightly disappointed. Thank You was initially supposed to hit the screens on July 8, but the release has now been pushed by 2 weeks. Thank You will release in theatres on July 22 and the film is expected to take a good opening at the box office.

Naga Chaitanya's last release, Love Story was a blockbuster hit at the box office and he will be looking forward to continuing the streak with Thank You as well. The film is directed by Vikram K Kumar who is best known for his films like Madhavan's Yaavarum Nalam, Manam (Telugu), and Suriya's 24. Produced by Dil Raju, the film will have Raashi Khanna playing the female lead. S Thaman scores music for this film that will have cinematography handled by the legendary PC Sreeram. Apart from Thank You and Varisu, Dil Raju is also producing Shankar's highly anticipated next with Ram Charan, tentatively titled RC 15 which is being shot on a grand scale.
