Actor Vijay's Thalapathy 66 wrapped up its second schedule on Thursday in Hyderabad and the excitement for the film is getting bigger with each day. Being directed by Vamshi Paidipally of Oopiri/Thozha and Maharshi fame, the upcoming film billed to be a family-centric story is a Dil Raju and Shirish production venture and is being presented by Smt. Anitha under their Sri Venkateswara Creations banner with music by Thaman. S. With the month-long schedule now wrapped and the third leg of filming expected to begin soon, a couple of new casting announcements from Thalapathy 66 have been made, which have evoked a cheerful response from fans once again.

As known already, Thalapathy 66 announced to be coming out in theatres as a grand Pongal 2023 release includes a star-studded cast as Vijay is paired with the national sensation Rashmika Mandanna. Apart from the lead pair, the film also features a big supporting cast featuring the likes of 'Supreme Star' Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, veteran actress Jayasudha, comedian Yogi Babu, Shaam, Telugu actor Srikanth, Sangeetha Krish, and Bigg Boss 4 fame Samyuktha Shanmughanathan. In that light, popular child artistes Advaith Vinod and Harshitha Karthik have been announced to be a part of the Vijay and Rashmika-starrer, with the duo's pictures with Thalapathy 66 director Vamshi Paidipally at the film's shooting spot now taking social media by storm. Fans will know Advaith for previously playing the role of National Award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh's son in the 2020 mystery thriller film Penguin, while Harshitha was seen in Vijay's Beast in a small role this year.
Sharing a few photos of himself with Vamshi, Advaith wrote on his Instagram page, "It’s a great honor to work with the wonderful director @directorvamshi uncle and being a part of #thalapathy66 . schedule 1 wrapped up, eagerly waiting for the next schedule.."
