Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has joined the cast of Thalapathy 67 and will be seen in a key role in the Vijay-starrer being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The multi-talented filmmaker, who has of late been seen in several films in big supporting roles, has impressed everyone with his acting skills, and his inclusion in the mass gangster venture will no doubt be a major USP considering he enjoys a huge fan base. Although Gautham Menon has never before directed Vijay to date, it will be interesting to witness him alongside the Tamil superstar on the big screen.
Speaking about his inclusion in the film, the director-actor said, "Rubbing shoulders with the best in the industry except this time in front of the camera. Happy to be part of the Thalapathy 67". It is to be noted that the filmmaker had expressed his interest to work with Vijay a few years back based on a script he had written, which he titled Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru. As an actor, Thalapathy 67 is no doubt the biggest project for Gautham Menon and details about his role at present remain under wraps, which only adds to the excitement. The film is also the fourth time Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and the background score for a Vijay venture after he delivered chart-buster albums like Kaththi (2014), Master (2021), and Beast (2022). Expectations for Thalapathy 67 are massive considering Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj are joining hands after their Master and fans await a cracker of an entertainer up next from the duo.
