We are just two weeks away from the grand digital release of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara. The film is scheduled to release on October 30 and the fans are excitedly looking forward to watching the film at the comfort of their homes. The film will stream on Amazon Prime Video and it is expected to have a record breaking viewership considering the hype and expectation around the film. Suriya will be seen playing the role of Nedumaran Rajangam aka Maara who is full of passion and energy. Suriya has undergone intense physical training for this film and he would appear in different makeovers as the film progresses through various timelines.

All eyes are now on the trailer of the film which is expected to release in another week’s time. The makers are yet to begin the promotions and everyone is eagerly waiting for some sort of an update.

Meanwhile, the fans were pleasantly surprised after seeing a short glimpse video of the film on Amazon Prime Video. We get to see some new shots in this promo which features Aparna Balamurali, Urvashi and Paresh Rawal, apart from Suriya. This promo has come as a slight sigh of relief to the fans who are sharing the video on their timelines.

The film is based on the life story of Air Deccan founder, Captain GR Gopinath. Soorarai Pottru is expected to be an important film for Suriya and it has also shown great promise in showcasing the talented actor in a different dimension. Produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment in association with Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment, this biography drama has music scored by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Niketh Bommi, editing by Sathish Suriya and art direction by Jacki.

GV Prakash has already delivered four chartbuster numbers in the form of ‘Maara Theme’, ‘Veyyon Silli’, ‘Mannurunda’, ‘Kaattu Payale’ and three more songs are yet to be released. The young composer is in great form and we can expect him to strike strongly with Soorarai Pottru. The film's star cast also includes Aparna Balamurali, Mohan Babu, Paresh Rawal, Vivek Prasanna, Karunaas, Urvashi and others.
