Following the success of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Samantha is all geared up and set for the release of her next movie, Yashoda, which is scheduled to hit the screens on November 11. The film which has been originally shot in Telugu, will be released in other languages as well - Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. With just two more weeks there for the film's release, the makers have officially released the trailer of the movie and it looks riveting and promising. The trailer gives us a picture of what the film is going to be about and it looks like an intense nail-biting thriller is on its way.

The trailer keeps us intrigued and Samantha seems to have got an interesting character to play. She plays a pregnant woman who is made to undergo life threatening situations where she has to fight against the odds to survive. This game of survival of the fittest is what Yashoda is going to be about. The trailer also has a angle of surrogacy and it looks like Samantha and other pregnant women in the film play surrogate mothers. Yashoda shows us the action side of Samantha and it is indeed welcoming to see this side of her.

The film seem to have shades of the widely popular Netflix series, Squid Game, and we will have to wait and see the film to know if there are any references to the series. The film features an ensemble supporting cast that includes the likes of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma and others. Produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies, the film has music composed by Mani Sharma while the cinematography and editing departments are headed by M Sukumar and Marthand K Venkatesth respectively.

Venkat has choreographed the intense stunt sequences in the film. Yashoda is directed by popular directors duo, Hari and Harish who are known for directing Ambuli 3D and a few more. Check out the trailer here:
