Late actor and politician Isari Velan's wife and leading film producer Ishari K Ganesh's mother, Pushpa Isari Velan breathed her last during the morning hours of Thursday, July 14. At 9.30 AM, Pushpa Isari Velan passed away, following ill health and ageing complications. She was 75 when she breathed her last. It has been officially informed that the final rites will take place tomorrow (July 15) morning at 9 AM at the Vels University in Thazhambur. Producer Ishari K Ganesh shared the news about his mother;s demise through a series of tweets. The renowned educationalist also penned a heartfelt note about his mother, expressing his love for her.

Ishari K Ganesh's heartfelt statement read, "I am deeply saddened to inform you that my dear mother, Mrs. Pushpa Ishari Velan, age 75, passed away today, July 14, at 9:30 AM, as a result of illnesses associated with ageing. Her guidance, love and strong support have always been of so much value to me and to mould me the way I am today. I'm still having trouble accepting the fact that she is no longer alongside me. Anyone who has met her will undoubtedly miss her dearly because of her kind and loving nature.

I can promise that I will definitely try and make sure that her great words and vision will continue to live and thrive as we move on. Many thanks to everyone who is supporting me at this trying time. Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for your loss. RIP Amma".
