Actor Varun will be making his debut as a hero in the upcoming comedy entertainer, Puppy, alongside Comali actress Samyuktha Hegde, who has become a rage among youngsters across Tamil Nadu. Varun is known among fans for appearing in films namely Thalaivaa alongside ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay and Jayam Ravi ‘s Vanamagan, Bogan and an important supporting role in Comali. Kaaka Muttai director Manikandan's former associate Nattu Dev (Morattu Single) has directed Puppy with production on the film wrapped up a while back. With the film’s motion poster getting a positive response from fans, the much-awaited ‘Anji Manikku’ song composed by Dharan Kumar and sung by Yuvanshankar Raja and Shashaa Tirupati to lyrics penned by RJ Vijay has now been released.

Produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the Vels Films International banner, Puppy is gearing up for its theatrical release soon with the film also featuring Yogi Babu providing the comedic relief. As of now, not much is known about the plot of Puppy, but it is believed the film will be centered on adult comedy. Producer Ishari K. Ganesh will be looking to hit the bullseye once again with Puppy after tasting box office success with his LKG released earlier this year while following it up with Comali, which has become a box office hit as well.
