Good Luck Jerry is an upcoming Hindi black comedy crime film directed by Sidharth Sengupta and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L. Rai and Mahaveer Jain. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor in the titular role alongside Deepak Dobriyal, Mita Vashisht, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles. The film is based on the 2018 Tamil blockbuster Kolamaavu Kokila directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Beast fame. The film is scheduled to release digitally on Disney + Hotstar on 29 July 2022.
With many glimpses and teasers dropped from the makers' side, fans have been expecting and longing to see something more. Yesterday (July 13), a clip was released to announce that the film's official trailer will be released today. It looks like they lived up to their words as the trailer for Good Luck Jerry just dropped recently.
The trailer features Janhvi Kapoor as Jaya Kumari, aka Jerry, who is looking for a quick way to make some money in order to support her mother who is suffering from Stage II lung cancer. It shows what she has to go through and what she will have to go through once she joins the business. The trailer is full of humor that will make your ribs tickle but equally has moments of suspense that will surely make your hair stand on end. The performance given by the actors can be well appreciated as the trailer features scenes of them as well adding more value.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor has couple of other movies in her kitty. She will be seen in Mili which is the remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Helen. She will be starring alongside Vicky Kaushal's younger brother Sunny Kaushal. She has also committed to the sports-based film Mr. and Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao and the action film Bawaal with Varun Dhawan.
