Acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Mari Selvaraj's next project will be revealed on Monday, November 21, and an announcement has now been made regarding it. The hit director, who became a huge sensation after his directorial debut, Pariyerum Perumal, in 2018, took to social media on Sunday to announce that details on his next project, tentatively titled now as M4, will be revealed tomorrow. He also released a special announcement poster that is in the form of a banana leaf and has four kids running in the middle, which resembles a path on a muddy road in a rural backdrop. 

Mari Selvaraj, who is currently overseeing the post-production works of his upcoming film, Maamannan, with Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead role, will also be filming M4, which is being reported to be a quick project for Disney+ Hotstar Tamil. In addition, it is being stated that Madras and Sarpatta Parambarai fame Kalaiyarasan is playing the lead role once again after Kuthiraivaal in 2021, with Malayalam actress Nikhila Vimal said to be cast as the heroine. Further details about Mari Selvaraj's new project are unknown at this point and the official announcement will be eagerly awaited by the filmmaker's ardent fans everywhere. The tentatively titled M4 is one of the promising projects Mari Selvaraj is currently attached to as he also has in the pipeline a film with Dhruv Vikram, which is said to be revolving around the sport of Kabbadi. Post the completion of his film with Dhruv, Mari Selvaraj is expected to reunite with two-time National Award-winning actor Dhanush for a new venture after the duo's critically-acclaimed 2020 box office blockbuster Karnan. Maamannan, on the other hand, is reportedly eyeing a grand April 2023 release and is one of the biggest ventures in development right now as it is being produced under Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies banner and also features 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu, Keerthy Suresh, Fahadh Faasil, with music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman.
