Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan features an ensemble star cast that has Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles, alongside Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Chidambaram, and others in supporting roles. Chiyaan Vikram will be seen playing the character of Aditya Karikalan, while Karthi and Trisha will essay the roles of Vandiya Thevan and Kundhavai respectively. Jayam Ravi will be playing the titular character. Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies on a grand scale, the film has cinematography handled by Ravi Varman and editing by Sreekar Prasad.
