Following Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai, the successful trio of Ajith Kumar - director H Vinoth - producer Boney Kapoor will be joining hands for AK 61 and the project was officially launched with a formal pooja yesterday (April 11). The shooting of this mega biggie commenced yesterday in Hyderabad with Ajith Kumar and others and the update garnered wide attention of the fans. The first schedule will happen at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad and a huge set of Chennai Mount Road and a bank has reportedly been constructed there. Boney Kapoor took to his official Twitter page to share the official update on the commencement of the AK 61 shoot and the picture caught the attention of the fans.

The picture had Boney Kapoor, director H Vinoth and cinematographer Nirav Shah holding the clapboard and posing for a picture. This picture gives us the first official confirmation that Nirav Shah is the chosen cinematographer for AK 61, thereby continuing his successful association with Ajith and H Vinoth. Notably, AK 61 will be Nirav Shah's 5th film with Ajith Kumar after Billa, Kireedam (additional cinematography), Nerkonda Paarvai, and Valimai. Nirav Shah's work in Valimai looked solid and was one of the positives of the film. It is going to be interesting to see what he has in store for the audience with AK 61.

Details regarding the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be officially announced and further updates are awaited. Reliable reports state that Ghibran will be composing music for this action-adventure and let us hope that this film gives the talented composer a big breakthrough. AK 61 is rumoured to be a bank heist drama that will showcase Ajith Kumar in a completely different dimension. Following the H Vinoth directorial, Ajith will be collaborating with director Vignesh Shivan for AK 62 which already holds high expectations. AK 62 will be produced by Lyca Productions on a grand scale.
