Ever since it started airing on July 7 on Disney+ Hotstar, Koffee With Karan has garnered a lot of attention as it always has during the run of its previous seasons. After having graced the couch by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in episode 1 and actresses Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan in episode 2, it is now time for the next round of guests - Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Akshay Kumar.
Host Karan Johar took to his Instagram handle to share the teaser of the upcoming episode. Sharing it, he also wrote, "Heart of gold and a dash of sexy & bold - my two new guests on the Koffee couch are bringing the heat this Thursday in an all new episode of #HotstarSpecials #KoffeeWithKaran S7 only on Disney+ Hotstar." We can’t wait to see this quirky pair team up on the Koffee couch! The clip features Akshay Kumar carrying Samantha as they enter and share a great connection with one another when they team up against Karan Johar. Both actors are evidently very comfortable with one another and the teaser is full of light and jolly moments. We also get a peek into Akshay and Samantha dancing in different styles with each during one of the show's games. This is a duo that no one has ever seen together. The upcoming episode will also mark Samantha's debut on the popular chat show. Episode 3 will air on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday (July 21).
On the work front, Samantha has signed into Shaakuntalam directed by Gunasekhar, where she will be seen playing the titular role. She will also be making her big international debut with Arrangements of Love directed by Philip John. She also has the pan-Indian film Yashoda in her kitty as well as a film with Vijay Deverakonda directed by Shiva Nirvana. This will be her third collaboration with the director after having previously worked together in 2019's Majili as well as the upcoming film Kushi which also stars Deverakonda, therefore marking the tentatively titled VD11 their second collaboration with one another.
