Jayam Ravi will be teaming up with director Rajesh M of Siva Manasula Sakthi, Boss Engira Bhaskaran, and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi fame and the project was officially announced a few months back on social media. Ravi will be collaborating with Rajesh M for the very first time and the fans have pinned hopes on this one. The film is tentatively called JR 30 and it will have music composed by Harris Jayaraj whose recent album for The Legend turned out to be a hit among music lovers. That being said, the makers have now revealed an interesting development about the film and here is what you need to know.

The film is all set to be officially launched with a formal pooja and the launch event will take place tomorrow (August 3) morning at 9 AM at FIKA in Adyar. The main cast and crew are expected to be present at the venue tomorrow. Leading film production house Screen Scene Media Entertainment will be bankrolling this project which is touted to have Doctor and Don sensation, Priyanka Mohan, playing the female lead. Jayam Ravi has two exciting projects in his lineup - Agilan and Ponniyin Selvan. Agilan is an intense action drama that is helmed by N Kalyana Krishnan of Bhooloham fame.

Produced by Screen Scene, the film features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and is set for its theatrical release on September 15. Talking about Ponniyin Selvan, the film has got high expectations among the fans and film buffs. Ponniyin Selvan will feature Ravi playing the titular character and it is going to be exciting to witness how he has approached the role. Ponniyin Selvan is slated for release on September 30 and it will have a pan Indian release in 5 different languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
