Ponniyin Selvan is legendary director Mani Ratnam's magnum opus and the cinematic adaptation of the renowned author Kalki's epic Tamil novel of the same name. Ponniyin Selvan is all set and ready to dominate the silver screens and the box office with its scheduled worldwide theatrical release on 30 September 2022.

Promotional works are already begun and are in full swing. The makers of the project are introducing a Ponniyin Selvan every day with a new poster of their own. No teasers or trailers have been released yet. But that is all about to change.

The Ponniyin Selvan team has planned a grand teaser launch event in Chennai which is to take place tomorrow (July 8) and it will be attended by all the cast and crew of the film. The actors can be expected to dress their best, as great as the characters they play in the movie, for the function.

It has been confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan will release the teaser for the Hindi version of the pan-Indian film at 6 PM. Lyca Productions took to their Twitter handle to announce this news. It has also been announced that Lalettan Mohanlal will launch the teaser of the Malayalam version of the pan-Indian film. Lyca Productions made a similar post announcing this as well. Check it out:

Ponniyin Selvan is touted to be a story that is centered on the conspiracy surrounding the Chola dynasty throne set 1000 years ago. A. R. Rahman has scored the music while Ravi Varman was in charge of handling the camera.

The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast comprising big league celebrities such as Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi in the lead roles with Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Arjun Chidambaram, Vikram Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Kishore, Rahman, Jayaram, Lal, Jayachitra, Riyaz Khan, Sarah, Teejay, Ashwin Kakumanu and others joining them in supporting roles.
