Ace filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon turned into a full-fledged actor with Vijay Milton's Goli Soda 2 and there has been no look back since then. His performances in Fahadh Faasil's Trance and Dulquer Salmaan's Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal were raved by the audience, after which the star filmmaker was signed for exciting roles in many interesting films. He was recently seen playing an important role in Rishi Richard's Rudra Thandavam. On that note, Gautham Vasudev Menon has now been signed to act in the upcoming Sundeep Kishan - Vijay Sethupathi starrer Michael. Gautham Menon will be seen playing the antagonist in Michael and the official announcement regarding that was made, this morning (November 22).

Sundeep Kishan took to his official Twitter page to express his happiness about acting with his mentor, Gautham Menon. Before venturing out as an actor, Sundeep Kishan worked as an associate to Gautham Menon. Sundeep's tweet read, "Take pleasure in welcoming my Guru & Ace Director @MenonGautham as the Antagonist in the world of @MichaelTheFilm Looking forward to learning from you once again sir". Michael will have Sundeep Kishan playing the lead role, while Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing a crucial role that will have significant importance.

The film is directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi who is known for making movies like Puriyaatha Puthir and Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum. The makers are yet to make a formal announcement on the film's female lead and the technical crew. Produced by Bharath Chowdary and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Karan C Productions LLP in association with Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, Michael is planned as a pan Indian film. While originally shot in Telugu and Tamil, the film will also have a dubbed release in Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
