Bagheera, an upcoming film set to release in theatres this weekend, has Prabhu Deva playing lead directed by Adhik Ravichandran. From his debut film Trish Illana Nayanthara, a controversy or criticism surrounds the films of Director Adhik Ravichandran and it also continued in his second film Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan, starring Simbu. The Prabhu Deva starrer Bagheera has been in pipeline for a long time and is finally seeing the light on March 3. His next film is set to feature Vishal and Sj Surya in lead roles named Mark Antony. Ahead of the release of the psycho-thriller the director and hero of the film sat down for an interview with Galatta Media and revealed some interesting details about the anticipated film.

The interviewer questioned about the criticism that Bagheera resembles films like Sigappu Rojakkal, Manmadhan, Naan Avan Illai, how do you see it? The director replied It's not a criticism, “there will be a lot of films in a genre and in this genre, there are only a few films. So, it's not wrong for people to connect Bagheera immediately to other films in the genre so it's not a criticism". He said this film will follow those films as it's set in the same genre. The anchor then posted a question to Prabhu Deva that there are controversies surrounding Adhik Ravichandran's films, what does he think about it?, The actor revealed he did not know about it then. The director then revealed that the iconic dance choreographer does not care if the other flicks from the director is a hit or a flop, all he sees is talent.
The psycho-thriller Bagheera is said to have Prabhu Deva in eight different getups that also includes a female makeover. It has many female leads including Amyra Dastur, Sakshi Agarwal, Sonia Agarwal, Ramya Nambeesan, Janani, Sanchitha Sheety, Gayathrie Shankar and Pragathi. The film has created a huge expectation among fans.
