It's raining updates for Thalapathy 67 and it has now been officially announced that Sony Music India has bagged the audio rights for the Vijay-starrer being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj under S S Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio banner, which will feature music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The leading audio label is collaborating with the team once again after Master, with the songs and background score in the 2021 film receiving a staggering response and staying at the top of the charts for a long time.
The excitement surrounding Thalapathy 67 and its songs has been massive ever since it came to light that Anirudh is collaborating with Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after their Master, which went on to receive 1 million streams across all platforms, while also making it to the global music charts as the highest-streamed Tamil album of 2020. Master remains a special album for the team as well as fans as Anirudh went full-out in delivering a highly-entertaining album, including a thunderous background score, which has only raised the expectations surrounding the Thalapathy 67 songs. Anirudh Ravichander is collaborating with Vijay for the fourth time after films like Kaththi, Master, and Beast, and we can expect him to come out firing on all cylinders for Thalapathy 67. The upcoming film is billed to be a gangster venture and also includes several big names in the cast starting with Trisha Krishnan, who will be reuniting with Vijay once again after 14 years on the big screen.
