Anushka Shetty continues to be at the top of the league even though she hasn't featured on the big screen in almost four years after her last appearance in a cameo as legendary freedom fighter Rani Lakshmi Bai in 'Megastar' Chiranjeevi's historical film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. She later played the lead role in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Nishabdham / Silence, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video during the lockdown in 2020. That being said, Anushka, whose next film, the tentatively titled Anushka 48 is set to move ahead at full throttle, and sees her sharing screen space with Naveen Polishetty, who is known for starring in Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya and Jathi Ratnalu.
Announced in 2021, Anushka 48 directed by Mahesh Babu P of Ra Ra... Krishnayya fame is produced under Vamsi-Pramod's UV Creations banner and will feature music by Arjun Reddy composer Radhan. With not much heard up until now since production went on floors, the team on Wednesday, March 1, has announced the upcoming film's title, while also sharing the first look featuring both Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty. Taking to Twitter, UV Creations revealed the title of Anushka 48-Naveen Polishetty 3 to be Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty, while announcing that the film is set for a grand release this summer in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Check out the Miss. Several notable film industry stalwarts are part of Anushka and Naveen's Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty among whom include celebrated cinematographer Nirav Shah, iconic editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, and reputed art director Rajeevan, Baahubali and KGF films visual effects supervisor Raghav Tammareddy. Anushka will be playing the role of a chef named Anvitha Ravali Shetty in Miss. Shetty Mr. Polishetty, which is touted to be a fun-filled rom-com, with the makers assuring fans that the film will be a "roller-coaster ride of entertainment".
