Singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, who sang the Telugu version of the song, will be making their Oscar debut and performing live on stage at the prestigious event to be held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles. 'Naatu Naatu' composed by MM Keeravaani and featuring lyrics written by Chandrabose has already been nominated at this year's Oscars in the 'Best Original Song' category as the hit track from the S. Reacting to the announcement of getting the opportunity to perform at the 95th Academy Awards, 'Naatu Naatu' singer Rahul Sipligunj wrote on his Instagram page, "This is going to be unforgettable moment in my life." The Indian Telugu-language song is going to be performed live on stage on the biggest awards event in the world and will join the likes of 'Jai Ho' and O' Saaya' from Slumdog Millionaire, which were performed by A. R. Rahman and Mahalaxmi Iyer at the Oscars. Both songs were nominated from the British film featuring an Indian star cast and crew at the 81st Academy Awards ceremony, with 'Jai Ho' going on to win the 'Best Original Song' award and A. R. Rahman earning the Oscar for Best Original Score.

Choreographed by Prem Rakshith and picturized on RRR's lead actors Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, 'Naatu Naatu' featured the two stars setting the dance floor on fire in the visuals in the film, which recently re-released across the U. S. in around 200 screens. Rajamouli, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR have been promoting the film in the states extensively for sometime, with the trio together and individually giving prime time interviews to leading television channels and news outlets. Meanwhile, the song 'Lift Me Up' from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will also be performed by Rihanna at the Oscars.
