Among the big highlights in Rudhran is the big-screen reunion of Raghava Lawrence and Sarathkumar after they shared screen space in the 2011 blockbuster Kanchana, and the duo appearing together once again is set to be a major USP. It is also understood that the climax fight featuring the two stars has been shot over a period of 20 days, with 5 crores spent for the action sequence. Although the Rudhran glimpse released last year introduced Lawrence as a grey-shaded character, he will be appearing in a soft and kid-friendly role in the film. There is quite a lot of buzz surrounding the film, which was recently witnessed when the makers released the 'Paadatha Pattellam' remix song, which was recreated by Dharan Kumar and featured on Lawrence and Priya Bhavani Shankar.
Rudhran is coming along the lines of S. Kathiresan's previous box office blockbusters like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Jigarthanda, and Diary, and the hit producer will be looking to hit the bullseye once again this summer. With a story and screenplay written by KP Thirumaaran, the film also boasts of a stellar technical team that includes RD Rajasekar (cinematography), Anthony (editing), and Stun Siva (action director). Following Rudhran, S. Kathiresan is also producing Raghava Lawrence's next, Adhigaaram, which has been written by iconic filmmaker Vetri Maaran and is being directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar, who is known for his films like Ethir Neechal, Kaaki Sattai, Kodi, and Pattas.
