In what has come as a big happy news, National Award-winning Tamil film producer Rajsekar Pandian, known best among Tamil cinema fans as a close friend of leading Tamil actor Suriya and an associate of his 2D Entertainment, has been re-elected as the Honorary Secretary of the prestigious Chennai Rifle Club for 2023-2026. The delightful news has indeed added joy to his Diwali 2023 celebrations, with wishes pouring in from all quarters. Rajsekar Pandian will be joined by Balaji Dayalan - Hony. Joint Secretary, S. Siby Rajesh - Hony. Treasurer and nine other EC Members, who also were re-elected at the Chennai Rifle Club on Saturday, November 11, with pictures of the prized moment going viral on social media. 

In one of the pictures, we see Rajsekar Pandian being greeted by Sandeep Rai Rathore, Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police (GCP), while another photo shows him in full focus at the shooting range. This latest distinction will no doubt come as a big encouragement for Rajsekar Pandian, who as the CEO and Director of 2D Entertainment Pvt Ltd, previously played a key role in the production of films 36 Vayadhinile (2015), 24 (2016), Kadaikutty Singam (2018), Ponmagal Vandhal (2020), Soorarai Pottru (2020), Jai Bhim (2021), and Viruman (2022).

On the cinema front, Rajsekar Pandian is overlooking the operations of Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment, which is currently associated with a couple of big upcoming films. The production banner is co-producing the untitled Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake starring Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar under Sudha Kongara's direction, which will also see Suriya appearing in a cameo. 2D Entertainment recently also announced their next big Tamil film, the tentatively titled Suriya 43, reuniting Suriya and Sudha Kongara after their Soorarai Pottru, which won five awards at the 68th National Film Awards. Touted to be a political action drama, the film also includes Malayalam actors Dulquer Salmaan and Nazriya Fahadh, and Hindi star Vijay Varma, while G. V. Prakash Kumar is composing the songs and the background score.
