Thalapathy 68 is currently being filmed in Thailand after the first schedule was shot in Chennai for 15 days. The team is expected to continue shooting for a few more days, with an action sequence also picturized sometime back. Principal photography on the Vijay-starrer began on October 2 after a star-studded pooja ceremony, with a video also being released by the team revealing the cast and crew. This latest Thalapathy 68 update has now given fans a glimpse into the team's dedication to rise early even before sunrise to begin filming in an effort to wrap up the ongoing schedule at the earliest.

Vijay's Thalapathy 68 has several big names onboard starting with blockbuster music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is composing the songs and the background score for the Tamil cinema superstar after almost two decades when they last collaborated in Pudhiya Geethai (2003). The film also includes a packed star cast featuring the likes of Kolai fame Meenakshi Chaudhary, who is playing the female lead, while Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Laila, Sneha, Yogi Babu, Ajmal Amir, VTV Ganesh, Premgi Amaren, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raaj will be seen in pivotal roles. Announced to open as a grand 2024 release, Thalapathy 68 is billed to be a "high-octane action film" and is Vijay's next after the blockbuster Leo, which is still going strong in cinemas.
