Yogesh Narayan seeking fresh stories

Yogesh Narayan, producer of a this year’s first film, the super hit Modala Sala, will be on a different mission for his second film, which is to be launched in September or October. He will be touring many places of the state for a talent hunt, identifying prospective talented story writers. This story talent hunt will kick off from Bengaluru. On 16th and 17th July, Yogesh Media’s team will hear stories at Vijaya Film Institute in Basaveshwaranagara, Bengaluru from 10 a.m. onwards. Later it is moving to Mysore, Davanagere, Shimoga, Hubli and Mangalore, camping at these places to hear scripts directly from the writers. Interested persons can contact 9886553495 or 9480028701 or write to yogesh.media@gmail.com.

Yogesh Narayan will be assisted in this mission by his friends from the software fraternity and the film industry in this new venture. Among his four friends, Vijay, who is presently working in Wipro as a software engineer, has assisted several films based projects. He has worked as an associate for Achchu Mechchu directed by Himayat Khan and has been associated with many corporate films. Monish is a stage artist who is now working for a software firm. Naveen is a Mysore based distributor and Pramod has been the promoter of Kannada films through his Swastik Audio Company.

“We have decided to go to the roots to pick up the story for our films. In this process we hope to unearth some hidden talents to showcase their ability to write good stories that can provide raw material for good and meaningful cinema. With this intention in mind, we are taking on a mammoth task of meeting the talented people at their places or nearby places to interact with them and get good stories from them,” said Yogesh at the press meet.

Yogesh added, “If the team picks good stories for their future projects from the writers who come, an amount of Rs. 50000 will be paid to the story writers on the spot. Though this award is small compared with their invaluable efforts for writing perfect stories for films, we have decided to make a beginning at least. We hope our efforts to reach out to get stories with fresh concepts, native insights and nearer to our roots and culture will bear fruit. Even if we get five to six such stories, we are prepared to compensate the writers and use the story material for all our future productions.”

The first appreciable factor of Yogesh Media is their enthusiasm to go to people and seek stories. This is what the adjacent states have done and tasted success. Going to people to get their anecdotes and interesting happenings is the best way for meeting the needs of original film scripts.
