A project that has created sky-high expectations ever since it was announced, Vaadivaasal, marks National Award-winning director Vetri Maaran joining hands with Suriya for the first time, with the film being produced under Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner and featuring music by G. V. Prakash. The film is expected to roll into production soon as the makers are planning on taking a call in the days ahead considering a majority of the coronavirus lockdown restrictions have been lifted for shooting to resume. With the first look poster for the film released on the occasion of Suriya's birthday by Vetri Maaran, GV Prakash has been keeping fans updated on a regular basis, with the composer on Sunday taking to his Twitter page to engage in a Q&A chat session with fans.

During the Q&A session, GV Prakash was asked by a fan about the music for Vaadivaasal. The fan had posted a query asking, "Dear @gvprakash anna can we expect terra evillness jallikkattu bgm in #Vaadivaasal ?" for which the hit composer replied saying, "Definitely there will be one. It's a killer script. Everybody knows how Vetri Maaran sir films action sequences. It will be a great project considering Suriya sir and Thanu sir are there,". Fans will know the GV Prakash-Vetri Maaran combo has done wonders during their past associations, with their last collaboration, Asuran, featuring chart-buster music including the much-revered 'Blood Bath - Vaa Asura Vaa' track, which continues to be a fan favorite. Watch GV Prakash speak about Vaadivaasal in the tweet below:

As of now, not much is known about Vaadivaasal apart from the film being an adaptation of a Tamil novel titled Vaadivasal written by Si. Su. Chellappa, with reports stating the plot will be centred around Jallikattu. The term Vaadivaasal is usually given to the gate through which the oxen which participates in Jallikattu makes its entry into the arena. The film includes a stellar technical crew among whom include R Velraj handling the cinematography and Jacki for the art direction.

Vaadivaasal is incidentally GV Prakash's 75th film as a composer and he will be looking to deliver yet again a memorable chart-buster album and songs after his Asuran last year. The film has generated massive curiosity as the film marks Vetri Maaran's first-time association with a top hero after Dhanush and the director joining hands with a performer of Suriya's calibre has elevated its value to a bigger scale.
