A film that has had Suriya fans excited right from the moment it rolled into production, Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara, had been announced for an OTT release sometime back. Scheduled to come out on Amazon Prime Video on October 30, the hype for the upcoming film, which has also dubbed in Telugu as Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra, has been sky-high, with fans keeping a close watch at all developments. With fans for a while now waiting for a word on the film's trailer, composer G. V. Prakash Kumar has announced on his Twitter page that the Soorarai Pottru trailer will be released "very very soon", while adding that the background score too has been completed. Said to be inspired from events of the life of Air Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath, Soorarai Pottru is a joint production of Suriya's 2D Entertainment and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment banners and includes Aparna Balamurali playing the female lead, with Mohan Babu, Paresh Rawal among others in supporting roles. The film has been one of the hottest ventures among fans, who were disappointed upon learning that it would not be released in theatres. The response towards the promotional material including the teaser released in January before the nationwide lockdown received an astounding feedback from fans. Being one of the most-awaited films of the year, the makers have been leaving no stone unturned in treating Suriya's fans accordingly. The four songs from the film - 'Maara Theme', 'Veyyon Silli', 'Mannurunda Mela', and 'Kaattu Payale' - have all turned out to be chart-busters, with fans now waiting for the three additional songs yet to be released. 

There has been tremendous anticipation for the Soorarai Pottru trailer considering we have now entered the month of the film's release. The teaser showed Suriya in a completely new dimension and teased the powerhouse performer in him once again as he will be seen essaying a character named Nedumaran Rajangam aka Maara. The 1-minute-17-second video that showcased the story of an ordinary man with an extraordinary dream went on to receive a strong appreciation from those in the industry as well. With less than a month away now for the film to come out, we can expect the Soorarai Pottru trailer to be released in the next two weeks or so.
