A few days back, a Hyderabad-based cab driver named Raghava Raju made shocking allegations against Mumaith Khan stating she had cheated him of travel dues of Rs 15,000 after which he had filed a police complaint. He made claims to the media stating he was disclosing the incident in the hopes of preventing other cab drivers from facing similar trouble after a three-day up-and-down trip to Goa. He had stated that the actress refused to make a settlement on the payment upon their return to Hyderabad after the trip had gotten extended by a few days.

Having said that, Mumaith Khan addressed the media on Friday evening in regard to the allegations made by the taxi driver, while also providing her own account and narrative of the incidents during the trip from Hyderabad to Goa. Speaking to reporters, a visibly upset Mumaith said that she had already cleared all the dues, but he kept calling and tried to extort more money from her, while also informing some of his family members regarding his behavior. She stated that she had excused his actions owing to his poor living conditions and added that he had begun taking advantage by making baseless allegations. Inspector M Niranjan Reddy in a statement to Bangalore Mirror had said, "We have received a complaint from Mumaith Khan. She said the driver's allegations were false. We are verifying it." According to reports, the cab driver has been speaking with the cab drivers's association regarding taking further action against the actress.
