Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami's mother Thavusayammal, aged 93, passed away during the night hours of October 12. She was laid to rest this morning (Oct 13) at Salem and Edappadi Palaniswami paid homage to his mother. Her body was taken to Siluvampalayam village for the last rites. Notable political leaders including DMK President MK Stalin, PMK Founder Dr S Ramadoss, MDMK General Secretary Vaiko conveyed their condolences to Edappadi K Palaniswami. Dr C Vijayabaskar, Tamil Nadu Minister for Health and Family Welfare, took to his Twitter page to share that he visited CM's house at Siluvampalayam to pay his final respects to Thavusayammal. He tweeted, "I visited the Hon’ble CM’s residence at #Siluvampalayam, Salem and paid my last respects to the CM’s mother who passed away last night."

Leading personalities from the film industry and the people of Tamil Nadu are also sharing their condolence messages on social media. Having said that, Raghava Lawrence took to his official Facebook page to mourn the demise of Thavusayammal. Lawrence recollected the memories of meeting the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and how he (Edappadi K Palaniswami) praised Lawrence for constructing a temple for his mother. Lawrence's official post read, "My Deep condolence to our Honourable chief minister Eddapadi k Palaniswami sir on his mother’s demise. I feel bad after hearing the news about our Honourable Cheif Minister Eddapadi k Palaniswami sir’s mother Thavusayammal’s demise. When I met our CM last year, he praised me on building a temple for my mother and he also shared how much he loved his mother for more than a hour. I know this is a huge loss for him. I pray for his mother’s soul to rest in my peace."

In Tamil, Lawrence will be acting in the sequel of Chandramukhi which is to be directed by P Vasu and produced by Sun Pictures.
