Tamil Nadu cricketer Varun Chakravarthy, who played for the Kings XI Punjab in 2019 and is currently a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team in the Indian Premier League, recently revealed that he is a die hard fan of 'Thalapathy' Vijay. Varun Chakravarthy's Kolkata Knight Riders have so far played seven matches in IPL 2020, having won four and lost three. They are at the fourth place with eight points and are set to take on league leaders Mumbai Indians on Friday. As for 'Thalapathy' Vijay, his Master, initially announced for an April 9 worldwide release, was indefinitely postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, with producer Xavier Britto and director Lokesh Kanagaraj asserting a while back that the film will only be coming out in theatres and not directly on any OTT platform. Master has been carrying tremendous expectations right from the get go as it will see Vijay squaring off against 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, who has revealed he will be playing a cruel and dreaded villain. Furthermore, Anirudh Ravichander's songs have turned out to be a phenomenal success, with the album continuing to reign at the top of the charts. 

With Master most likely expected to arrive in theatres in 2021, 'Thalapathy' Vijay's fans will have plenty to cheer about next year as he will be teaming up with blockbuster director AR Murugadoss for the fourth time for Thalapathy 65 after their box office money-spinners Thuppakki, Kaththi and Sarkar
