The film is directed by Maanagaram and Kaithi sensation Lokesh Kanagaraj who is currently one of the most sought after directors in Tamil cinema. Interestingly, Lokesh Kanagaraj also has a very good fan following on social media and his tweets get a viral response every time. Having said that, in a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, director Lokesh Kanagaraj opened up about the fame and fan following that he’s been getting in the recent past. He said that Kaithi and Master are the main reason for the fan following. “This is quite new for me. I never expected such a huge reception. The fan following you are talking about is because of the recent film Kaithi and my upcoming film with Thalapathy Vijay - Master. So, that was the core reason I am having a fan following as well”, said Lokesh.

Kaithi was a huge success at the box office that also managed to earn highly positive reviews from the critics and fans. The film was lauded for its gritty filmmaking, engaging screenplay, and high octane stunt sequences. As we all know, Kaithi is going to be remade in Hindi and Ajay Devgn will be reprising the role played by Karthi. Details regarding the director of this remake is yet to be known, but when Lokesh Kanagaraj was asked if he will direct the Hindi remake, he denied it. He said, “No, I am not doing the Hindi remake. I am just tied up with a lot of my other commitments. But, I am excited to see another version of Kaithi.” Going by this, it looks like we will have to wait for a few more weeks to know who will helm the Hindi remake of Kaithi.
