This deadly COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic has been ravaging all countries for over 7 months now, after reportedly originating from the Wuhan Province, in China. The virus has been affecting people irrespective of age, gender, caste, creed or social standing and has already claimed the lives of a number of people, including celebrities, political leaders, actors, sportspersons and others! Now, the Virus has claimed another legend from the field of arts! The 70-year-old legendary Urdu poet, writer and Bollywood lyricist Rahat Indori had been tested ppositive for the COVID-19, yesterday (August 10) and was admitted to a hospital and undergoing treatment! Unfortunately, he suffered three heart attacks today and succumbed to them!

Reports state that Dr. Indori suffered three consecutive heart attacks but was stabilising after the first attack but the subsequent two attacks are said to have lead to his death! He was admitted to the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) and breathed his last there as revealed to the world, by his son Satlaj Indori. Dr. Rahat Indori himself revealed that he had been infected with COVID-19, through a tweet and had also stated that he would keep the people updated about his status. Unfortunately, that turned out to be his last tweet! Dr. Rahat Infori has had over 45 years of recognition and acclaim of being a renowned poet!

Dr. Rahat Indori has also written lyrics for Bollywood songs and many of them have gone on to become blockbuster hits! Earlier this year, he wrote a poem titled 'Bulati Hai Magar Jaane Ka Nahi, which went instantly viral on social media, including TikTok, during the 2020 Valentine's Week! People began to start using this poem as a meme too! Dr. Indori has also written seven books and his most popular lyrics include for movies like Munnabhai MBBS, Mission Kashmir, Begum Jaan and Ishq! Many top celebrities, political leaders and Bollywood stars have been expressing their condolences over the passing of Dr. Rahat Indori. We pray for his soul to rest in peace and express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family! This is indeed a huge loss not just for Bollywood but the whole of India!
