Gautham Karthik has teamed up with director S Ezhil for a new film that will feature ace director and actor Radhakrishnan Parthiban in an important role. This new film was officially announced yesterday (Nov 22) and interesting details have been revealed. This untitled film is a murder mystery thriller that is based on a crime novel written by acclaimed writer, Rajesh Kumar. The shooting of the film has already kickstarted and the makers are canning some important sequences right now. Director S Ezhil who earlier made films like Thulladha Manamum Thullum, etc, shifted his gear towards masala comedy entertainers like Manam Kothi Paravai, Velainnu Vandhutta Vellaikaran and more. It is interesting to see him do a thriller film and that too, based on Rajesh Kumar's story.

This new film will feature debutante Sai Priya as the female lead. Produced by D Vijay Kumaran under the banner of Kavya Entertainment, the film will have cinematography by RB Gurudev. D Imman will compose music for this film that will have editing by Gopi Krishna and art direction by NR Sugumaran. C Murugesh Babu has penned the dialogues for the film. Talking about the film, producer Vijay Kumaran said, “Director Ezhil for the first time in his career is doing a thriller and as a producer, I have immense faith and belief that this film will be a huge success. Gautham Karthik and Parthiban’s performances will add so much more value to the film. I am eager to watch the final copy of the film already,”.

Very recently, Gautham Karthik announced that he would be teaming up with director Badri Venkatesh of Baana Kaathadi and Semma Botha Aagathey fame for an action thriller. Gautham Karthik plays one of the leads in Mani Ratnam’s anthology - Navarasa which will release on Netflix very soon. Gautham Karthik will be seen in director Ponram’s portion of the anthology.

He is also acting in the Tamil remake of Mufti that stars him and STR in the lead roles and it is directed by Narthan. Produced by KE Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, the shooting of this film is currently put on hold and it is expected to begin soon. The fans are eagerly waiting to see STR and Gautham Karthik share screen space together and it is going to be an exciting project to watch out for.
