A highly popular name in Tamil cinema, Anandhi became a sensation after starring in Prabhu Solomon's Kayal in 2014. Soon after, she landed roles in films like Trisha Illana Nayanthara, Visaranai, Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru, Pandigai, but made heads turn with her power-packed performances in critically-acclaimed ventures like Pariyerum Perumal and Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu. With a number of films lined up next in Tamil, Anandhi, who made her acting debut in Telugu first, is all set to be seen next in Zombie Reddy directed by the young and promising Prasanth Varma of Awe and Kalki fame. 

Zombie Reddy, as the title suggests, is a zombie film and incidentally the first to come out in the genre in Telugu cinema. An interesting teaser for the film was released last month, which received a strong response from fans, with the visual effects going on to be appreciated by many. The Zombie Reddy teaser also had a big Corona connection, along with the Zombie theme, leaving fans asking the question whether the plot of the film is set around the time when the COVID-19 outbreak hits the entire world. The teaser also included a few shots showing a scientist at work in creating a vaccine for the novel coronavirus, with the film's tagline being "Corona was just the beginning".

Produced by Raj Shekar Varma under the banner of Apple Tree Studios, Zombie Reddy has Teja Sajja in the lead role, along with Daksha Nagarkar, Raghu Babu, Prudhvi Raj, Getup Srinu, Harshavardhan, Hemanth, Kireeti, Hari Teja, Adhurs Raghu, Mahesh Vitta, Annapurnamma, Vijay Ranga Raju, Vinay Varma, Naga Mahesh, Priya, Charandeep and Tripuraneni Chitti in major supporting roles. With promotions already underway, a Zombie Reddy making video has now been officially released by the makers showing the production value, including the extensive efforts by the team in bringing out their ambitious venture. 

Zombie Reddy marks Kayal Anandhi's return to Telugu cinema after a gap of six long years and includes music by Mark K Robin, with cinematography by Anith, followed by Sri Nagendra Tangala and Sai Babu taking care of the art and editing departments respectively.
