BREAKING: This popular TV serial actor arrested by Police - wife files complaint!
Actor Karan Mehra, who is known for acting in the role of Naitik in the widely popular TV serial, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, was arrested in Mumbai during the late night hours of May 31. The arrest happened following a complaint filed by Karan's wife, Nisha Rawal, who is also a TV actor. According to reports, Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal were involved in a verbal fight last night, and allegedly, Karan hurt her physically as well. The Goregaon Police received a phone call from their control room around 11 PM in the night after which the officials reached actor Karan Mehra's residence and arrested him.
A case was filed against Karan Mehra under IPC Sections 336 (endangering human life or personal safety to others), 337 (causing hurt by an act which endangers human life), 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation). However, earlier this morning (June 1), Karan Mehra was released on bail from the police station. After getting released, Karan denied the allegation made against him and said that his wife hurt herself and created a bad impression about him.
Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal met in the sets of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and during the course of the shoot, they fell in love. The duo got married in 2012. They have a son named Kavish who was born in 2017. More details on the case are awaited. For the unversed, actor Karan Mehra acted in the serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai which gave him a massive breakthrough. Later, Karan also took part in the 10th season of Bigg Boss Hindi, hosted by Salman Khan.
On the other hand, Nisha Rawal is known for acting in shows like Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki and Shaadi Mubarak. Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal participated together in the celebrity dance reality show, Nach Baliye 5.
