Leading Tamil actor-producer Vishal's Veeramae Vaagai Soodum will open in theatres on February 4 and is now the first big film to release after the Tamil Nadu government lifted the lockdown in the state. As of now, the state has allowed night shows to resume once again, while the 50% audience occupancy rule is in effect. Directed by debutant Thu Pa Saravanan and produced by Vishal Film Factory, the news of Veeramae Vaagai Soodum coming out in theatres early next month has been announced by reputed Malaysian film banner Malik Streams Corporation, who are releasing it worldwide, while also unveiling a new poster. Veeramae Vaagai Soodum has been generating a lot of buzz of late and Vishal is leaving no stone unturned in bringing out the best version of the film. During a press meet earlier this month, the actor had revealed that he had presented the final cut to a few people associated with the film after two other versions were first screened. The Veeramae Vaagai Soodum trailer released sometime back too had received a strong feedback from fans, who hope to witness Vishal deliver the big punch in the upcoming action film after his success with Enemy last year.

Vishal's Veeramae Vaagai Soodum also has the actor-producer reunited with chart-buster composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, and fans are hopeful their combo will once again spell magic like some of their previous collaborations namely Sandakozhi, Thimiru, Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai, Avan Ivan and Irumbu Thirai. The film has Dimple Hayathi playing the female lead, who has become a youth sensation of late, after she previously made appearances in the Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah-starrer Devi 2 and Atrangi Re alongside Dhanush. Veeramae Vaagai Soodum also features an ensemble supporting cast that includes Yogi Babu, Marimuthu, Tulasi, Kavitha Bharathi, RNR Manohar, Baburaj, Billy Murali, Raveena Ravi, K. S. G. Venkatesh, Mariyam George, Black Sheep Deepti among others.
