With the success of F9, the ninth installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, fans all over the world cannot wait for the next ride. That said, there comes the big update now that Jason Momoa has officially joined the crew for the upcoming film, F10, with reports stating he has boarded the venture as the main antagonist. The Fast & Furious films have had some A-List stars like Luke Evans, Djimon Hounsou, Jason Statham, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and John Cena have played the villain in the past and it is nice to see them include Momoa in the blockbuster franchise.

With Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson turning down Vin Diesel’s request to rejoin the Fast & Furious franchise after their highly-publicized feud, the announcement of Momoa joining the cast of F10 has indeed come as a news of big joy for fans. It will be interesting to witness him put up a tough showing to Vin Diesel as the iconic Dominic Toretto, who is the biggest family man ever to be seen on the big screen. Justin Lin sits on the director’s chair once again in F10 after having made five other Fast and Furious movies in the past. He is also one of the acting producers along with Vin Diesel as the film is set to release in two installments with Part 1 coming out on May 19, 2023.

Jason Momoa has an impressive list of work under his belt after starring in shows like Game of Thrones in which he encapsulated the character of Khal Drogo, including Apple TV+’s sci-fi series See. He also plays the DC Comics superhero Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), while also appearing in a pivotal role in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. The Hawaiian actor is also set to appear in Slumberland, an epic fantasy, that is slated to premiere on Netflix later this year and will once again reprise his role as Arthur Curry / Aquaman in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which is set to open in theatres in December this year.
