Leading Tamil actor-producer Vishal is attached to a number of promising high-profile films and the action thriller Veeramae Vaagai Soodum will be the first in his lineup that will be coming out in theatres as a Republic Day release on January 26, 2022. Produced under the Vishal Film Factory (VFF) banner, the upcoming film has been directed by Thu Pa Saravanan and is currently in its post-production stages featuring music and background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja. An out-and-out raw action entertainer, promotions are already underway, with the team on Saturday on the festive occasion of Christmas releasing the much-awaited Veeramae Vaagai Soodum teaser.
Veeramae Vaagai Soodum is Vishal's 31st film and the actor will be looking to hit the bullseye after the response to his Enemy alongside Arya turned out to be positive. He is paired opposite popular Telugu actress Dimple Hayathi, who earlier made appearances in the Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah-starrer Devi 2 and more recently in Dhanush's Atrangi Re. Veeramae Vaagai Soodum, which has the tagline 'Rise of a Common Man', will also be released in Telugu under the title Saamanyudu, and clearly indicates Vishal will be rising up to the occasion and be the voice for those who have been wronged.
Expectations for Veeramae Vaagai Soodum are quite high as fans as well hope to witness Vishal deliver yet another memorable film in line with his blockbuster Irumbu Thirai. Another major USP of the film is the Vishal-Yuvan combo coming back together once again and the wait will now be for the album, with all sights set on the composer to deliver chart-busters in line with his work in Sandakozhi, Thimiru, Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai, Avan Ivan to name a notable few. Apart from Vishal and Dimple Hayathi, Veeramae Vaagai Soodum includes Yogi Babu, Marimuthu, Tulasi, Kavitha Bharathi, RNR Manohar, Raveena Ravi, Mariyam George, Black Sheep Deepti, Baburaj, Billy Murali, K. S. G. Venkatesh, among others cast in supporting roles, while cinematographer Kavin Raj, editor N.B.Srikanth, art director S.S. Murthi, and Vasuki Bhaskar as the costume designer form the core technical crew.
