Vijay Antony's next big Tamil film, Pichaikkaran 2, is one of the most-awaited sequels and is set to come out after the phenomenal success of his Pichaikkaran in 2016. Produced under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner and being presented by Fatima Vijay Antony, the upcoming sequel has now been announced to be releasing in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages as well and will be out as a grand summer 2023 treat. Sharing a new set of posters of Pichaikkaran 2 in all four languages, Vijay Antony has also announced that the film's satellite and digital rights have been acquired by Star Network.

Pichaikkaran 2 is titled Bichagadu 2 in Telugu, while the Kannada version is called Bhikshuka 2, with the Malayalam title revealed to be Bhikshakkaran 2. The buzz for the upcoming film has been massive ever since it was announced last year and it now remains to be seen whether the story will pick up from where the 2016 original had ended. Apart from Pichaikkaran turning out to be a major commercial and critical success, the film's Telugu version Bichagadu went on to become one of the biggest box-office hits in the Andhra Pradesh & Telangana regions. Pichaikkaran 2 created a lot of expectations after the team unveiled the slogan 'Anti-Bikili', which was later revealed to be the name of the antagonist reportedly being played by Vijay Antony himself.
