'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan has made a complete recovery from Covid-19 and returned to his home in Chennai on Saturday, December 4. Photos and videos of the actor-politician are now doing the rounds on social media showing him thanking the doctors and medical officials for the treatment, with the veteran also releasing an official statement reiterating fans and followers to adhere to the protocols to safeguard themselves from the infectious virus. Kamal Haasan wrote on Twitter, "We must follow the protocols to the fullest extent. I have made a recovery after getting infected with the virus. I'm elated for your wishes for my good health." Kamal Haasan was admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Porur, Chennai, after he tested positive for coronavirus on November 22. He was found to have mild Covid-19 symptoms and had been treated. Upon complete recovery, the actor was advised to self-isolate himself till December 3 and was cleared to resume his normal work once again from December 4. Kamal Haasan had missed carrying out his hosting duties last week for the ongoing edition of Bigg Boss Tamil season and is the first time ever he did not appear on the show since it began in 2017. 

This latest health update from Kamal Haasan will no doubt come as a big relief for his countless fans, who will be looking forward to seeing him in action once again as the host of Bigg Boss Tamil 5. As for his upcoming films, he will next be seen in the highly-anticipated Vikram, which is scheduled for a worldwide release in April 2022. Being directed by Master fame Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action thriller will see Kamal Haasan sharing screen space with 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi and leading Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil who have been cast in pivotal roles, with the film's music being composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander.
