'Thalapathy' Vijay wraps up filming his portions in Leo, Lokesh Kanagaraj shares the massive update - here's what the makers have to say

One of the anticipated films of the Tamil film industry that has 'Thalapathy Vijay' in the lead is Leo helmed by Lokesh Kanagraj. The filmmaker has revealed an exciting new announcement about the film on his Twitter handle with a photo with the leading actor, The director has stated that Actor Vijay has wrapped up filming his portions of the film. The director stated “And it's a wrap for our Actor Vijay portion” he then thanked the actor saying “Thank you for making the second outing yet again a special one na!”. The director has shared the massive announcement with a photo of a fist pump with the actor with their silver bracelets (Kaapu). The director had announced the project with a similar photo the actor was in a different, older look in that picture. It is to be noted that he had also shared it with the emojis Fire and Ice next to Leo, shows the dual look of the actor in the film.

The producer bankrolling the film Lalith Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studio has also shared that announcement with a new photo of the producer with 'Thalapathy' Vijay and co-producer of the film, Jagadish. The actor has shared it with the caption “Mission successful ah mudinchu” (Mission successfully completed). "Oct 19th Kondaadi kolutha ready aagikonga nanba It’s a shoot wrap for Leo” (get ready for a grand celebration on October 19). This confirmed speculations that 'Thalapathy' Vijay has finished filming for his role in Leo.

This shows that the anticipated film Leo is in the final leg of shooting and is a step closer to the release of the film in October. There could still be several steps in the post-production process. The film will be the comeback of the hit on-screen pair of Trisha and 'Thalapathy' Vijay after over a decade and also has a massive cast that includes Sanjay Dutt directors Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Anurag Kashyup, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and other in an important role. The co-producer of the film Jagadish has shared a special message for the actor.
