Leo is the next big project of 'Thalapathy' Vijay that is set to release in theatres in October. The film marks the second venture of the actor with sought-after director Lokesh Kanagaraj after the hit film Master. The production house bankrolling the film Seven Screen Studio has revealed an exciting new release announcement for the film. The makers have announced the anticipated project will be distributed in Kerala by Gokulam Movies. A video released by the maker's shows the head of Sree Gokulam Movies, Gokulam Gopalan saying "the most awaited film for movie buffs that has 'Thalapathy' Vijay playing the lead titled Leo will be released across Kerala under the distribution banner Sree Gokulam Movies." The announcement then ends with the title theme of the movie.

Leo makers had earlier announced the distribution banner will release the film overseen and now, they have announced the distribution of the film regionally. Sree Gokulam Movies is also released the exciting upcoming film Jailer. It has created a huge excitement among fans and movie buffs. Recently, it was said that Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap will play a cameo role in the film. The first look and first single film titled 'Naa Ready' was released on 22nd June and became a hit number with over 47 million views currently.
Leo will see the comeback of hit on-screen pair Trisha with 'Thalapathy' Vijay after over a decade. It also has a huge cast that includes Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, 'Action King' Arjun, director Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy master, Mathew Thomas among others in key roles. The film will have music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander and is to release in multiple languages. It is highly speculated that the film could be a part of the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Universe which is called LCU, he has the films Kaithi and record-breaking Vikram.
