Thalapathy vijay leo naa ready song lyrics and visuals ordered to be modified by cbfc lokesh kanagaraj anirudh - Tamil Movie Cinema News

The first single from 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo titled 'Naa Ready' released on the occasion of the actor's birthday in June met with some controversy over its lyrics and visuals by a section of the audience stating that it was promoting smoking and drinking. Now, the Central Board for Film Certification (CBFC) has asked for some changes to parts of the song be made after a complaint was filed by Rajeshwaripriya of Anaithu Makkal Katchi and has ordered that a few lines and scenes referring to smoking and drinking be replaced.

The lines to be replaced wherever they occur in the 'Naa Ready' song in Vijay's Leo as per the new CBFC certificate are as follows:

1) 'Pathaadhu bottle Naa kudika andaava konda cheers adikka'
2) 'Paththavatchu pogaiya utta poweru kicku'
3) 'Pogaiyala pogaiyala power kickuu'
4) 'Milli ulla pona podhum gilli vella varuvaanda'

Likewise, the CBFC has also suggested that the visuals of Vijay smoking, including close-up shots, wherever shown in the 'Naa Ready' song are to be reduced and replaced. Furthermore, disclaimers for smoking should be kept as per norms by increasing the font size and should also be legible and readable in bold black font on a white background. 'Naa Ready' is sung by Vijay and 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander along with rap written and performed by Asal Kolaar to the lyrics penned by Vishnu Edavan and the changes recommended by the CBFC have come at a time when the song in Leo is already leading the top of the charts as the film is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release on October 19.

'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and features music composed by Anirudh, and is the trio's second collaboration after their blockbuster Master (2021). The film includes an ensemble star cast with Trisha playing the female lead, while Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, 'Action King' Arjun, and filmmaker Mysskin are cast in negative roles, with director Gautham Menon, Priya Anand, Sandy master, and young Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas among others set to appear in pivotal roles.
