Leading Tamil actor Jayam Ravi is celebrating his birthday on Sunday, September 10, and wishes are pouring in from all quarters. The Ponniyin Selvan star has several interesting big projects lined up ahead that include the highly-anticipated Iraivan scheduled to release on September 28, followed by the much-awaited Siren, the tentatively titled JR 30, the pan-Indian production Genie, and the recently-announced Thani Oruvan 2, which are currently in various stages of production. Among them, the first look of Siren has now been released along with a special preface glimpse giving audiences an introduction to Jayam Ravi's role and character in the film being directed by debutant Antony Bhagyaraj.

The Siren preface sets the wheels in motion straight away and shows us Jayam Ravi as a middle-aged man doing push-ups while looking all focused and intense. We then witness him in several montage shots in the rain and bashing someone at a roadside bar, with the teaser ending on a close-up shot from a top angle showing his face covered in raindrops. The Siren preface gives audiences a view into the film and how it's touted to presumably be an intense action crime thriller. This latest glimpse also shows Jayam Ravi rocking the classic salt and pepper look akin to his role of a middle-aged individual and it will be interesting to see what the actor will bring to the table this time considering he has throughout the course of his career impressed everyone with his performances in each of his films.

Siren has Jayam Ravi sharing screen space with National Award-winning Tamil actress Keerthy Suresh, while Premam and Kodi fame Anupama Parameswaran will be appearing in a key role alongside Yogi Babu, Chandini Tamilarasan, among others. National Award winner G. V. Prakash Kumar is composing the songs and the background score and the technical team features the likes of cinematographer Selvakumar S.K, editor Ruben, production designer K. Kadhir, art director Sakthee Venkatraj M, stunt choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan, song choreographer Brinda, while the costume designs are by Anu Parthasarathy, Archa Mehta, and Nithya Venkadesan.
