Chandramukhi 2 new release date september 28 raghava lawrence kangana ranaut movie - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Lyca Productions has announced that their next big film, Chandramukhi 2, starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut is getting pushed to a new release date and will be opening in cinemas worldwide on September 28. The blockbuster Tamil production-distribution banner revealed the change in plans on Friday, September 8, informing fans that the upcoming comedy horror venture directed by veteran filmmaker P. Vasu has been postponed due to technical delays while adding that there will be an extra treat in the offing when the film hits screens later this month.

Chandramukhi 2 was initially scheduled to release in theatres on September 15 and Lyca Productions' latest announcement will no doubt come as a big disappointment for Tamil cinema fans. Although there was no big hint as to what the treat in the Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut-starrer is going to be, the prestigious banner did include a man in a business suit levitating and smiling face with open hands emojis. There's considerable buzz surrounding Chandramukhi 2 and fans will be looking forward to a visual feast on the big screen after the film's trailer was released last week.

P. Vasu's Chandramukhi 2 is a sequel to his box office money-spinner Chandramukhi (2005), which had 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, Jyotika, Nayanthara, and Prabhu in the lead roles, with 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu revealed to be the big connection between both the films, while the supporting cast features the likes of Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Srushti Dange, Rao Ramesh, Ravi Mariya, Suresh Menon, T. M. Karthik, Subiksha Krishnan, among others. Chandramukhi 2 includes music composed by Academy Award winner M. M. Keeravani, who won an Oscar earlier this year for 'Best Original Song' for his 'Naatu Naatu' track in RRR, and is also making his big Tamil cinema comeback nearly two decades after Sibiraj's debut Student Number 1 (2003).
