On the occasion of Tamil New Year, Nelson Dilipkumar's Beast starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde in the lead was released theatrically worldwide on 13 April 2022. Vijay played the role of a former RAW agent who finds himself unexpectedly in the middle of a high stake hostage situation. The plot revolves around the hero fighting terrorists who hijack a popular shopping mall in the heart of the city. The film opened to mixed reviews but did not suffer in terms of its box office collections.

No matter how mixed the reviews were, the film did excel in one thing - its songs and music. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander did a phenomenal job in bringing out the musical harmonies which attracted millions of people from around the world. At this juncture, all the songs from Beast have become mega hits. Songs like Jolly O Gymkhana and Beast Mode are still getting people's grooves on. But nothing even comes close to Arabic Kuthu which has been more than well-received by the people. Fans and the general public alike continue to enjoy the song for its catchy tunes and amazing visual. Arabic Kuthu has now crossed over 100 million massive views since its release (10 crores) and has created a record on YouTube and is leading the trending charts. The Twitter handle of Sun Pictures shared this joyous news with the public.
